Elizabeth and Andy on Film

Back on April 2nd, I was shooting Elizabeth and Andy’s wedding. I took one film shot. One. This is it. The film speed was too slow for the conditions in the church, but I actually really love this shot. Here’s the link to the original post. I prefer this shot over the properly-exposed digital shot as the colors in this shot look almost like a watercolor painting.

Mario’s Lemonaid Stand

Mario is a brave boy with a big heart. Check out his facebook page, Mario’s Fight, to read about Mario’s inspiring story. He’s a boy who wanted to raise money in memory of friends who lost their fight against cancer. It was very special to see how the communities of Woolwich/Swedesboro rallied around Mario and his fight.

Here’s Mario who was all smiles!

They had a great turnout all day.

Mario was working the crowd and personally handing out lemonaid.

He was proud of his medal.

Many people made donations.

There were even DJ’s.

Fun stuff for kids to do.

Mario raised lots of money for a very-worthy cause. Check out Mario’s Fight on Facebook if you’d like to get involved and donate!

Finally, I asked Meredith to sit down on the blacktop, so I could shoot a background which was a different color then green!

Meredith’s Trash the Dress! Part 1

Meredith and Dan got married last October and they had their reception at Maggiano’s in Cherry Hill. Whenever I shoot a wedding, the other vendors and I usually get around to discussing wedding food when we are eating dinner. And I tell them, every time, that Maggiano’s had the best wedding food I have ever eaten. Hands down.

Meredith and I picked her apartment complex to do shoot her Trash the Dress session. Surprisingly, the complex had a bunch of areas where we could shoot. Dan bought Meredith these ice pops for the shoot, specifically looking for the lime green.

These are outside of the maintainance garage!

By the fringe of woods…where we found a tick on her dress. Good thing Meredith is covered in white. If you are a photographer, look at that bokeh in the background. This was shot with my 50 1.2 L lens.

Oh the light was beautiful.

Jillan and Ryan are Engaged! on film

Jillian and Ryan’s esession was about 2 months ago and I just got the film back from the lab. The digital shots were posted back in April. I happen to like both the film and digital shots for this session, so I’m glad I took both. I typically only shoot film for personal work.

Love this one. It’s blurry but to me its just conveying a sense of movement.

I was so happy when we saw the ladder just leaning there against the side of the building!

Jillian you are too cute…

We are getting closer and closer to the wedding…only about 3 months to go and I know that time will just fly!

I took a fim camera to Julie and Bill’s wedding and used it for about 5 shots. I’m not sure why I didn’t use it more, but here are the few shots that I did take with it.

You can see Joanne, my second shooter, taking a shot of something behind Angela.

Here’s Part 2 of Julie and Bill’s day! My new macro lens did a great job with the rings!

Once again, the clouds parted enough to allow me to take some bridal party shots out on the deck.

Here’s our handsome groom, Bill, waiting for the ceremony to start.

Angela, a former bride from last fall, sang a song during the ceremony. She did a great job and was all smiles.

This one is a little blurry, but I like it anyway. It shows how great the mid-deck on the Moshulu was for the party!

So happy!

Oh the cake was beautiful. The Moshulu’s pastry chef made it and they actually hired a photographer to come in and shoot it!

The were fireworks from across the river as the party started. What a way to greet the guests as they made their way back to the deck from dinner.

Julie and Bill are Married! Part 1, Moshulu

I was so excited to shoot Julie’s wedding a few weeks ago. Julie has been on this blog a bunch of times, she’s the sister of a former bride and a good friend of another former bride. Seeing everyone again was great. Julie is just the sweetest and most-considerate bride…she picked the salon because it was close to me so I wouldn’t have to drive too much.

You note these fun bracelets that the salon was selling. I did go back, twice, to buy some!

Julie’s make-up was classic and understated.

Julie’s house was perfectly clean and when I arrived, the dress was already hanging in the perfect spot.

The light in the room was wonderful.

The bride arrives from the salon. She didn’t let a few raindrops dampen her mood.

Perfect.

Off to the Moshulu in Philadelphia. Julie was arriving to see Bill before the ceremony in this shot.

Look how happy!

The skies were so blue, it was the perfect time to take photos of Julie and Bill.

There were so many places to take pictures on the boat.

Julie, you are gorgeous.

I love this one.

When it was time to shoot the bridal party, it started raining, so we were under cover for these next shots.

Cutie!

The green was beautiful and I really wanted to shoot it against the background of a blue sky.

Blurry… but I like it anyway.

Lori and Mike are Engaged! Part 2

Here’s the second half of Lori and Mike’s Engagement session taken in Old City, Philadelphia. I loved the clean white wall to start.

Well, maybe the wall wasn’t that clean.

Mike wanted the cobblestones in some shots.

And I’d say he was right about that!

The old architecture was stunning.

And their love for one another was lovely.
