Siena

After two days in Rome, we hit the train station for a trip to Siena.  Once we got to Chuisi (if I spelled that right) we were directed to a BUS to get to Siena!  OMG!  I was wary at first about taking a bus ride, but it turned out to be a very pleasant experience and we got to see a lot of the Tuscan countryside that way. The cab ride from the train/bus station  was fun, he took us through all of these little streets where you think that there should be no cars.  That’s how small the streets are. The cab driver left us off at the main square, and when you walk into it, your jaw just drops.  It is amazing.  This is the only picture, out of many that either Norman or Ethan took of me, that I’ll post on the blog.  In the rest of them I’m making weird faces (now I know why I feel so comfortable behind the camera) but this one is OK, so here I am with a glass of wine at lunch.

As I said in a previous post, Ethan ate 3 of these per day!
Lots of hills in Siena.  Here Ethan and I are walking up a bunch of steps!

In this shot you can get a feel for the narrow streets I talk about earlier!

Siena’s Duomo.

Nice to know you can get a lap dance in Tuscany if you need one!  This cab cracked us up.

If you look carefully in the mirror, you can see the 3 of us.

Our preferred method of transportation while in Italy. We had this cool private car when we left Siena.  Stop back tomorrow for Venice which was my favorite city!!!
