Jersey Shore

Lately we’ve been down the shore every weekend, three weeks ago we went to Ocean City, two weeks ago, Cape May and last weekend, Seaside Heights.  Living in Jersey does have it advantages such as quick access to any number of beaches.  I always like to go in the spring or fall when the weather is mild and the crowds are absent.  On Sunday, with hours to kill between basketball games, Norman and I found the Jersey Shore house.  Trust me, it’s a lot smaller than it appears on TV.  It does have a fabulous location near the beginning of the boardwalk.  As you can see from these two shots, the house is for rent!

The Star

While I was in Cape May a few weekends ago with Alyssa and Victor (pix coming soon), we happened to walk by The Star (Motel, Inn, Coffee).  It’s part of Congress Hall which is a landmark in Cape May.  I wish I had a picture of The Star to show you, but trust me when I say it was lovely. I especially LOVED the motel—retro, painted bright yellow, and spotless.  If you know me, you know I like things clean!  The Star is at the perfect location for both shopping and the beach, so I’d highly recommend that you check it out.  I’d definitely stay here and, in fact, I looked out online hoping to get a room in the motel for a weekend in June when Ethan has a tournament at the beach.  Alas, there were no rooms in the motel to be had.

birdy

I saw this little birdy while waiting in Cape May for a couple of friends to show up.

cape may gas

A gas cap I saw in Cape May recently!

ocean city fire hydrant

I love fire hydrants, manhole covers, etc.   This was a fire hydrant in Ocean City.   Look for a gas cap from Cape May on here tomorrow.
