A few months ago,  Renee and I went out for a Trash the Dress session. I had taken along a film camera, loaded with black and white film, and I finally have the images back.  Here you go. 

This one, especially, looks great. 

Here’s part 2 of Renee’s TTD session.  You’ll notice a few things:  Her dress really didn’t get any dirtier than it already was and Renee definitely got more comfortable as the shoot wore on. I love this series of images. 

Renee got married about 1.5 years ago (I cannot believe that much time has passed since her wedding).  I remember what a fun time everyone was having at the wedding!  Renee had asked for a Trash the Dress session when she booked me,  and we tried to schedule one many times, but we kept getting rained out. Finally, last weekend, we had a clear Sunday evening for a shoot.   Renee decided not to go with traditional foot ware and I think the boots were a fabulous choice.

Meredith and Dan got married last October and they had their reception at Maggiano’s in Cherry Hill.  Whenever I shoot a wedding, the other vendors and I usually get around to discussing wedding food when we are eating dinner.  And I tell them, every time, that Maggiano’s had the best wedding food I have ever eaten.  Hands down.

Meredith and I picked her apartment complex to do shoot her Trash the Dress session.  Surprisingly, the complex had a bunch of areas where we could shoot.  Dan bought Meredith these ice pops for the shoot, specifically looking for the lime green.

So here’s the second half of Jenn and Blue’s session. I wanted to thank Jenn and her mom for coming out in the snow and mud. I’d also like to thank Diane for allowing Jenn to wear her wedding dress which was made in 1964.  I can’t believe how well it held up all these years and I hope it didn’t get too muddy during the shoot. 

Jenn couldn’t exactly ‘trash’ her dress, as it had been cleaned already, but she decided to trash her mom’s dress! The dress Jenn wore is from 1964, so it’s 45 years old! I think it looks amazing and Jenn looked radiant as we had some fun, in the snow, with her horse Blue.  We were on a real farm, complete with chickens!

Here’s the final installment of Michelle’s Trash the Dress on film!

Well, I used a local lab to develop and scan my film from Michelle’s Trash the Dress last weekend.  Every time I use film I say “This is the last time”.  It’s expensive and it’s tedious to load the images from the CD into my computer.  My mom knows I have NO patience, so film is almost a perfect test for me and my patience.  Then I get those images into my computer and my heart melts.  I can never figure out what it is with the film, but there’s just something about it. It’s softer maybe.  More romantic?  I don’t know but I love it.  You can decide for yourself.

We started Michelle’s session last Sunday with only film.  So, what I posted earlier this week was the second half of the session. Here are the first half of the film shots, and look for the second half tomorrow.  Leave a comment to tell me what you think!

As I was waiting for Michelle and Jason to show up, the owner of Jersey Q Bar-B-Q was cooking some ribs! Oh boy, did they look good!  He usually sells out early on Sundays, so if you want some you gotta get there early!
