Our chickens truly are our pets. When I pull up in the driveway every day, they come running to the fence. Even if they are against the back fence (as far away from the driveway as they can get) they come running when I pull up. Every single time I see them running, I laugh. Picture their big bodies on their little skinny legs running (wobbling) as fast as they can. Priceless.

Our rooster is such a big boy.

He watches over and chases our hens around at the same time.

He’s quite regal.

He has skinny feet.

He talks too much.

He thinks he can fly, but he can’t. And we love him.

I was inspired to shoot some veggies on film. I’m not sure why; I just felt like doing it once the idea popped into my head.

I bought this pair of white Frye boots on Nordstrom.com the minute I saw them. Then, a few weeks later, I received the Nordstrom January catalogue and there they were. Who knew I was so fashion forward! I’ll admit, this is one of those things that you either love or hate, but after living with them for a month or so, I decided I love them. And I have gotten a TON of compliments on them. The white tends to rub off a bit and leave little flakes behind! The more white that rubs off, the more I love them.

This is my Contax 645. I bought it for my birthday a few years ago and I toy with selling it every couple of months. I don’t use it that much. It’s big and heavy. It’s currently worth more than I paid for it (by a modest amount). But, if you watch my blog, you know I’ve been using it off and on over the past month. When I use it, and when I get the scanned images back from Richard Photo Lab (arguably the best lab in the US), then I know one thing for sure. I can’t part with my Contax 645.
