And finally, after two posts of her family, here’s Patricia. We had a little photo shoot, in the shade, and I think these shots turned out fabulous. I love her hair and her outfit and her outlook on life.

And this is my favorite. I clearly wasn’t focusing on Patricia, rather the garage, but I love how it turned out!

Some weeks ago I was looking for a model to shoot in a quiet Saturday. My dear friend Patricia invited me to her brother’s party so I could take shots of her family. Since I love her family, I thought it was a great idea! In low light, Patricia, her son and her baby nephew.

OMG! Such a sweetheart!

I mean look at that face and he has such a sweet personality.

Patricia’s son is growing up…. I haven’t seen him in a year and he’s much taller. He was the first person I talked to at the party and he instantly made me feel welcome.

The party had a John Deere theme…

A few weeks ago I met Lauren and her family for a fun photoshoot in Philadelphia. Lauren’s family lives in a beautiful section of the city. Here’s Lauren’s sweet niece who was the real reason for the session:

Fall Family Shoot

Because I was soooo busy with weddings and engagement sessions this fall, I had to turn away a lot of requests for family shoots; I just didn’t have the time. I did, however, have time to shoot a few families and I’m going to post one right now! I met the Hunt family at Michelle and Jason’s wedding last fall. This little sweetie was the flower girl. Since that wedding we’ve been trying to find a time for the shoot and it finally happened so here you go….

I could just squeeze her, she’s soo cute! Plus she liked to have her picture taken, which I loved.

Brother and sister are just too cute together. I thought, because of their ages, that they might not get along, but I have a feeling they are each other’s best friend.

The grounds of Bellevue State Park, in Wilmington, are lovely to shoot at.

All I can say is that he’s going to be a heart-breaker in a few years!

I loved this teal-colored wall the minute I saw it! This was such a fun shoot and I’m glad that we found the time to fit it in this fall.

Here’s my newest nephew. I didn’t believe what I heard about him being happy and smiling all the time, until I saw it for myself. He is the happiest baby I’ve ever seen. Always smiling…looking around and curious, trying to sit up , sweet. I wasn’t doing anything to make him smile, he just was smiling!

I have some families that I am honored to shoot every so often; here’s one of those families. I last saw them about 2 years ago and I can’t believe how everyone is growing up so quickly. This is the VERY FIRST shot I took , and I knew the session would be fun once I saw how cute this was!

They have two new additions to the family….two dogs who are cuter than cute. Here’s one…isn’t she precious?

This young man happens to be in Ethan’s homeroom!

Here’s the other dog who likes to skateboard. Really, he likes to ride on the skateboard and when he’s not doing that, he’s dragging the skateboard around!!! I never saw anything like that before!

Ethan and his younger cousin got along so well, during our last visit to Richmond, and the even allowed me to take this series of shots…which I love!

Nilo

Our hearts are saddened by the sudden loss of Norman’s uncle, Nilo. Here’s Norman holding a shot of Nilo (seated) taken in the late 80′s (I think). His sudden loss has the whole family in shock. He was such a loved and loving person. At the end of the day, that’s all that matters…..how much love was in your life. Money, fame, posessions…none of that matters. Nilo was an example of a truly good person and he will be missed by the Mabilog family.

Nilo was also a prankster! When I first met him, and didn’t know that about him, I have some stories I could tell about the jokes he played on me. I’ll just say this: He got me to eat something crazy that I wouldn’t normally eat….and I’ll never forget that experience!
