When I saw these spray painted words on the floor of the Cape May Bandstand, I knew I had to take a shot. “The only thing you can count on in life is change.”  No truer words have been spoken. 

Part of of our time together took place on the beach.  It was a lovely day, perfect weather, and the sun was starting to set.  Take one very happy couple who are very much in love, and here are the results! I love Alyssa’s face here!

I met Alyssa and Victor in Cape May a few weeks ago and we walked around and chatted the whole time.  I know I had a great time just being with these two super sweet, kind and wonderful people.  Alyssa and Victor are getting married in October and I can’t wait for their wedding, which sounds like it’s going to be amazing.

While we were in Cape May on a beautiful evening, I also happened to take some pictures.   This was literally the first shot.  I always find that when the first shot is great, the rest of the shoot follows along.

Jillian has a special place in my heart….she’s been one of my second shooters for the past year and a half and I love spending time with her at weddings! I’m not sure what made me meet with her when I was getting daily requests from people to second shoot with me, but I did and I decided to give her a chance.  She’s a poised photographer with a ton of talent, and a super, super nice person. I was honored that she asked me to shoot her wedding to Ryan.  Tomorrow is their big day and I can’t wait!!  I’m also a guest and not just a vendor.   It should be an amazing day.  

Jillian, who will be getting married in a few months, came over a week ago to pick up her guest sign in book.  Jillian, as you may know, has also been my second shooter for many of my weddings this past  year, and I can’t wait to shoot her wedding in October.  We chatted for quite a while and then I tested my Fuji X100 in the low light.   There was some light coming in from the windows, the lamp was on and the camera handled that mixed light well.  

Jillian and Ryan’s esession  was about 2 months ago and I just got the film back from the lab.  The digital shots were posted back in April. I happen to like both the film and digital shots for this session, so I’m glad I took both.  I typically only shoot film for personal work.  

Here’s the second half of Lori and Mike’s Engagement session taken in Old City, Philadelphia.  I loved the clean white wall to start.

I met Lori and Mike in Philadelphia last weekend for their engagement shoot. It was a perfect evening.  We started behind the Art Museum and then moved to another location. Lori and Mike were just as nice and sweet  as could be.  I could could tell how perfect they are for each other within about 5 minutes of being with them and I really enjoyed myself spending time with them. I can’t wait for their wedding in September.

Let me tell you about Jillian.  She’s one of my current second shooters. Last year she contacted me to see if I needed a second shooter (I didn’t).  You have to know that last year almost every week I had someone asking me if they could second shoot with me.  Something about Jillian’s email must have resonated with me (or maybe I was in a really good mood that day), so I decided to meet with her.  And I loved her from the minute we met!  I immediately worked her into my 2010 wedding schedule and she’s been shooting with me ever since.

Jillian is as nice and sweet as they come.  She’s a talented photographer with a blooming business, and she’s a very upbeat and positive person.  I was wondering about Ryan, hoping he was good enough for her, and now that I’ve met him and spent time with him, I can happily say that he is perfect for Jillian.  He makes her laugh and you can see how in love they are.
