Shannon and Tommy are Married, Part 1, Smithville Inn Wedding

Oh what a day Shannon and Tommy had!!!  I love the Smithville Inn for weddings, they do such a nice job, and Shannon and Tommy’s wedding was no exception!  Shannon booked a suite, on property, to get dressed in, so here we go with the pictures.   Shannon’s dress:

And I love this picture of her shoes! As always, Mary and Dawn of Garden Party Sisters did an amazing job with the flowers: Shannon and Tommy opted to see each other before the wedding and get all of the pictures done.  Here she is waiting to see her groom.Sometimes, I am amazed at my luck.  It was HOT out and I dragged Heather across a parking lot to get a shot of her and Tommy in front of this DISNEY BUS!! OMG!  I love these!Arguably, the light was much more flattering in the other places where I shot them.  Shannon and glowing and look at how happy she is!We took all most of the family portraits under the covered bridge and look at how nice they turned out…. no photoshop needed when the light is perfect to start!Only a few select people know what was going on here.  I won’t say, but I’ll leave it to your imagination!Shannon’s sister, Shelly, and her boyfriend. There an interesting story about Mike, the groomsman on the left, and his pants!Bill, the other groomsman, was quite a character!Stop back tomorrow for shots of the ceremony!

Angela and Dave are Engaged!! Part 2

Here’s part 2 of my evening with Angela and Dave!

There was this cool glass structure on the site, which houses the parking garage, I believe, but for me it was the perfect place to shoot.

Love this!Oh, and this one, too!Angela and Dave:  I look forward to your wedding in a few weeks….it’ll go fast, so I’ll see you soon!  xoxo Denise

Angela and Dave are Engaged! Part 1

Angela was a friend of two brides when she emailed and inquired about her September wedding. I think I was booked for the year at the time, but met with her since she was friends with two of my brides.  I’m soooo glad I did meet with her!  Her wedding will be here before you know it, so let’s get right into the pictures.   I met Angela and Dave behind the Philadelphia Art Museum on a Sunday evening.  It was HOT, but we had a great time! They look like movie stars!Dave did a great job with the ring and my rented Canon macro lens did a great job capturing it.  I swear I keep going online to buy that lens, but I can hear my bookkeeper in my ear stopping me….Love this, lens flare and all. I think this series, under the gazebo, was my favorite.  This is some good light and that’s what I always look for! Here I was playing around with adding some textures to the shot…not my usual thing, but I like it here!  Stop in tomorrow for the second part of this blog.
